President Donald Trump continues to tweet through the government shutdown, going after the Democrats again Saturday morning for being too focused on “presidential harassment.”
“I am in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come on over and make a deal on Border Security,” the President tweeted this morning. “From what I hear, they are spending so much time on Presidential Harassment that they have little time left for things like stopping crime and our military!”

Trump’s tweet follows a report from The Daily Beast about the optimism in the White House over the shutdown and how it takes attention away from Democrats’ planned investigations into the President in the run-up to the new Congress being sworn in.
As one anonymous source close to the White House put it, “The more the focus is on the wall, the more Pelosi is forced to focus on this fight instead of the investigations.”
