Twitter Says Sean Hannity’s Account Was ‘Briefly Compromised’

Sean Hannity‘s account went down last night, setting off a whirlwind of speculation over what happened. Well, now Twitter has put out a statement on the matter.

The Daily Beast obtained the statement that says the following:

“While we normally do not discuss individual accounts, for privacy and security reasons, we have permission from the account owner to confirm that account was briefly compromised. We are working with the owner to restore access.”

Twitter lit up over what was going on on Hannity’s account, and as of now the last tweet he sent is this:
