Speaking to Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo Sunday morning, Senator Lindsey Graham joked that there would be mass liberal casualties if President Donald Trump actually won a Nobel Peace Prize.
“I want to be there,” Graham quipped. “It may be the first time the Nobel Peace Prize was given and there was mass casualties because I think a lot of liberals would kill themselves if they did that.”
He then added that the bottom line is what Trump did was “historic.”
“No other president has been that blunt [with North Korea] and that’s why we are where we are because China and North Korea believe that if Trump acted he would use military force and North Korea would lose.”
Graham’s comments come just one day after rally crowds in Michigan chanted “Nobel! Nobel!” when Trump spoke about his efforts to bring North and South Korea together.
Donald Trump Jr. has also weighed into the matter, insisting that while his dad may deserve the coveted prize that was once won by President Barack Obama, “the globalist elite would never give him that win.”
