Fox News radio host Tom Shillue sat in for Greg Gutfeld Monday on The Five. And, perhaps inspired by the hot take machine who normally occupies the far right chair on the program, Shillue delivered an absolute scorcher on ICE — amid calls from Democrats for its abolition.
Shillue invoked a discussion he’d had with a guest on his radio show, in which the guest argued that Democratic calls for doing away with ICE are similar to Republican calls to get rid of the IRS.
To the radio host, there was a clear distinction:
“Nobody likes the IRS, and everybody likes ICE,” Shillue said. “That’s the difference.”
Huh?
Everybody likes ICE? Really?
Amazingly, Dana Perino seemed to concur with what sounded like — to say the least — a wild overstatement from Shillue.
“There is a big difference,” she said in agreement.
