Fox News outpaced the competition on Wednesday night — putting up across-the-board primetime and total day ratings wins.
According to Nielsen, Fox News pulled down 3,402,000 total viewers in primetime. The network added 684,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted adults 25-54 demo. MSNBC came in second, with 2,467,000 overall, and 557,000 in the key demo. CNN was third with 1,004,000 total viewers, and 347,000 in the 25-54 bracket.
CNN got a boost during the day from Inside Politics — hosted by John King. The 12 pm show pulled down 994,000 total viewers on Wednesday, and 281,000 in the key demo. Both numbers were up roughly 15 percent over Tuesday, and helped CNN to a second-place time slot finish in the demo.
All In with Chris Hayes had a disappointing showing on Wednesday in the key demo. The MSNBC 8 pm program posted 390,000 viewers in that category — down from 436,000 on Tuesday. All In, however, did improve on its total viewers number, going up from 1,893,000 to 1,963,000.
