Ryan Lizza has returned to the airwaves at CNN after the company conducted an internal investigation after the reporter was accused of “improper sexual conduct” in December.
Lizza was initially fired by CNN after The New Yorker levied the accusation and fired him from his post as the publication’s Washington corespondent.
While The New Yorker has yet to absolve Lizza, CNN seems to have, releasing a statement on the matter which was published by The Washington Post.
“Upon learning of The New Yorker’s decision to sever ties with Ryan Lizza in December, CNN pulled him from future on-air appearances while the network conducted an extensive investigation into the matter,” the statement read.
“Based on the information provided and the findings of the investigation, CNN has found no reason to continue to keep Mr. Lizza off the air.”
CNN has already made good on the above statement, with Lizza once again taking on punditry duties this evening, remarking on that bombshell report by The New York Times, in which President Donald Trump was accused of attempting to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller back in June.
