CNN’s Toobin Mocks Trump’s Remarks About Stopping Shooter: ‘Look at His Heroism’ in Vietnam

CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin tonight briefly mocked President Trump‘s claim that he would have run into the Parkland school to stop the shooter, “even if I didn’t have a weapon.”

Wolf Blitzer showed that clip, along with the part where the President slammed the “disgusting” actions of the deputies who didn’t go in, and Toobin said this:

“Well, I think in fairness, when you look at his heroism during the Vietnam war, a prisoner of war for five years with––oh no, that was John McCain. I’m sorry.”

He went on to say Trump’s remarks were “ridiculous” and “embarrassing.”
