MSNBC’s Katy Tur reminded viewers today that of course it’s ridiculous for President Trump to claim he “never” disputed Russian interference.
I never said Russia did not meddle in the election, I said “it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer.” The Russian “hoax” was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia – it never did!

“Unbelievable,” Tur said. “It is simply not believable because it is simply not true. Donald Trump has been doubting Russian meddling since the primaries back in 2016. I know this because I heard it over and over.”
She walked through all the public comments Trump has made, particularly what he said to Time Magazine in December 2016:
For reasons that remain unclear, Trump still refuses to acknowledge the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that Putin’s agencies were responsible for stealing the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign emails released on WikiLeaks. “I don’t believe it. I don’t believe they interfered,” Trump says. Asked if he thought the conclusion of America’s spies was politically driven, Trump says, “I think so.”
