Minutes after Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student Colton Haab appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight to restate his claim that CNN gave him a scripted question to read at last night’s town hall, President Donald Trump jumped on Twitter to tweet about it.
“School shooting survivor says he quit @CNN Town Hall after refusing scripted question.” @TuckerCarlson. Just like so much of CNN, Fake News. That’s why their ratings are so bad! MSNBC may be worse.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 23, 2018
It should be noted that CNN has denied that they provided or scripted any questions for any of the participants in the forum on the Parkland shooting.
Also, as you can see in the tweet above, Trump took the opportunity to slam not only CNN but also MSNBC for their ratings.
It should be noted, however, that CNN’s town hall event was the most watched program on cable news last night and MSNBC has been drawing decent primetime ratings of late, even nabbing the #1 spot occasionally in the past couple of weeks.
