A mother and daughter who had a violent encounter with an armed robber in their family-run liquor store appeared on A&E’s Live PD Saturday night to speak about the shootout.

Dramatic surveillance footage of the robbery showed a shotgun-toting suspect, who police identified as Tyrone Lee, walk into the Tulsa, Oklahoma liquor store on Thursday evening demanding cash.

The gunman walked behind the counter, as daughter Ashley Lee (no relation to Tyrone) put her hands up. After he walked out of view, the mother Tina Ring and her daughter both grabbed their guns, and opened fire when the suspect returned.

They shot the robber four times, and following a dramatic struggle in which he took the gun off the mother and pistol-whipped her, the daughter shot him one last time — before the mother-daughter ran out of the store to safety.

Tyrone Lee currently hospitalized in critical condition.

Appearing on Live PD (whose host Dan Abrams, owns this site), Tina Ring and Ashley Lee detailed the heart-stopping encounter, which was deemed the show’s Crime of the Week.
