Oprah Will Run For President if God Gives Her A Sign: ‘I Haven’t Gotten That Yet’

It felt like the whole world lost their minds at the idea of Oprah Winfrey running for president after she made a powerful speech at the Golden Globes.

Oprah has previously shut down the idea, but now it’s back on the table – sort of.

Oprah told People that she would consider running for president – if that’s what God tells her to do.

“I went into prayer,” she said. “ [I said,] ‘God, if you think I’m supposed to run, you gotta tell me, and it has to be so clear that not even I can miss it.’ And I haven’t gotten that yet.”

Winfrey had many people looking to donate to or run her campaign efforts, so she did consider the idea.

“That many people saying something made me think, ‘Am I at least supposed to look at the question?'” she told People.

A poll conducted in January gave Oprah a commanding lead over President Donald Trump in a theoretical race between the two. Guess that’s not enough for Oprah to think God’s telling her to saddle up.
