During a Newsmax appearance earlier this week, classic rocker and NRA board member Ted Nugent attacked the Parkland student activists in a way that can only be described as unhinged. Criticizing the high schoolers for pushing for stricter gun control, Nugent railed against the media and school system while calling survivors like David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez liars who “have no soul.”
It didn’t take long for Nugent’s comments to go viral, and by Saturday morning, Nugent was one of the top trending topics on Twitter, as folks just tore into The Nuge over his abhorrent remarks.
Below is a sampling of the online reaction:
.@TedNugent's lack of self-awareness is a marvel to behold; to be that devoid of decency, compassion, & goodness—and still mount such a high horse.
Ted, you keep trolling teenage shooting survivors—and let the rest of us figure out who possesses a soul.https://t.co/sdMicF8ij1— John Pavlovitz (@johnpavlovitz) March 31, 2018
Ted Nugent, the man who wanted to assassinate Obama and hang Hillary, said the teenagers from Parkland, who want gun control so they don’t have to go through another mass shooting, have no soul.
What is wrong with the right???

When you have no response to the message, make up vicious, untrue attacks on the people bringing the message. Age old tactic. No thanks, NRA. https://t.co/H78ka03xTy

Noted NRA board member, White House dinner guest and molester of 13-year olds Ted Nugent chimes in. https://t.co/2ip0Dhsv6A

Wait till the Parkland students call Ted Nugent a pathetic liar with a tiny dick. https://t.co/LMfNz7FuuB

Trump left DC for Mar-A-Lago to avoid the kids at the #MarchForOurLives, but here's a pic of him shaking hands with Ted Nugent, a man who said the survivors of a school shooting had no soul. pic.twitter.com/4O70V9xTim

Longtime @NRA Board member Ted Nugent just said this about Parkland gun violence survivors: "These poor children, I’m afraid to say this and it hurts me to say this, but the evidence is irrefutable, they have no soul."
Waiting for you to contradict him.https://t.co/cN1P5RChou

What does Ted Nugent know about teens besides “you gotta adopt ‘em so you can fuck ‘em”? (Google it) https://t.co/f5HHf4O5jl

We should console, support & cheer on the Parkland students who are simply fighting to keep us safe from gun violence. Instead the @NRA says, “I really feel sorry for them because it’s not only ignorant and dangerously stupid, but it’s soulless.” Shameful! https://t.co/YdOWAxQmFp

Ted Nugent has never liked children who say no.https://t.co/wdfYM8YIx9

Honestly though, Ted Nugent’s interest in children has never been about souls. https://t.co/AjQ043mSIW

Ted Nugent is proof that if you squander your talents, and then wallow in selfishness & ignorance long enough, eventually the culture will catch up with you.
