Following NBC News’ report on John Kelly calling President Trump an “idiot,” new reporting from CNN says it hasn’t stopped there.
Per CNN’s Jeremy Diamond:
John Kelly told sr national security officials last month that he believed the President was becoming "unhinged," a senior admin official tells me. Kelly made the comments in a room w/ Mattis, Dunford & NSC officials after Trump said publicly he wanted to pull troops from Syria.

The official said it was "in a moment of frustration." But no one in the room appeared shocked by Kelly's use of the term "unhinged" to describe the US President https://t.co/qgwxoc6xH0

CNN’s Jim Acosta also reported on air about apparent increasing frustrations with the President from Kelly, saying there’s been “friction” for a while.
Kelly responded to NBC News’ earlier report by calling it “total BS.”
