Environmental Protection Agency administrator Scott Pruitt has become the latest member of President Donald Trump‘s administration to be confronted in public.
Schoolteacher Kristin Mink spotted the EPA chief at a D.C. restaurant while she was out for lunch with her 2-year-old son. Mink uploaded a video of herself on Facebook, during which she’s seen approaching Pruitt, calmly critiquing his policies as harmful to the environment, and noting the various ethical controversies hanging over his head.
“We deserve to have somebody at the EPA who actually does protect our environment, someone who believes in climate change and takes it seriously for the benefit of all us,” said Mink. “I would urge you to resign before your scandals push you out.”
Over the last few days, various members of the Trump Administration faced contentious moments when protesters confronted them while they appeared in public. Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was recently booted from a restaurant over her affiliation with Trump, and figures like Stephen Miller, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao also had recent encounters with hostile crowds.
