CNN legal analyst Joey Jackson said tonight that President Donald Trump‘s tweet saying AG Jeff Sessions should end the Mueller probe does not in itself constitute obstruction of justice.
..This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!

Jackson tonight told Wolf Blitzer, “I am of the view that it is not at all obstruction of justice. I don’t think there’s any reasonable view of this tweet that could be construed that way.”
For one, he argued, it’s “an expression of an opinion” like the White House said.
Secondly, Jackson continued, “I see no corrupt intent there. I see anger. I see disdain. I see frustration.”
Finally, he concluded, Trump may be “saying something,” but “he’s not doing something.”
“If the question you had before me, Wolf, was he just fired the attorney general or deputy attorney general, it would be a very different conversation,” Jackson said. “But the mere tweet itself I don’t take the view that it’s obstruction.”
CNN counterterrorism analyst Phil Mudd pushed back a bit and brought up the firing of James Comey, arguing it’s pretty clear what Trump’s intent with all his statements are.
Jackson said he’s just talking about the tweet itself. Blitzer asked if it may be part of a pattern on Trump’s part. Jackson said there’s certainly a lot worth looking at in the President’s public musings, but this isn’t exactly “the bombshell smoking gun tweet that’s going to bring down the president.”
