Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not let a reporter’s slight about her outfit go unnoticed.
Instead, she took to Twitter to respond to Eddie Scarry‘s tweet.
On Thursday, the Washington Examiner reporter — who briefly wrote for Mediaite — wrote this and tweeted a pic of Ocasio-Cortez’s backside view:
Hill staffer sent me this pic of Ocasio-Cortez they took just now. I’ll tell you something: that jacket and coat don’t look like a girl who struggles. pic.twitter.com/oaLpy5aXlt

In response, Ocasio-Cortez shot back a tweet reading: “if I walked into Congress wearing a sack, they would laugh & take a picture of my backside.”
If I walked into Congress wearing a sack, they would laugh & take a picture of my backside.
If I walk in with my best sale-rack clothes, they laugh & take a picture of my backside.

She added: “Dark hates light – that’s why you tune it out.”
It is not the first time conservatives have ripped Ocasio-Cortez for her clothes. Back during the campaign, the then-congressional candidate appeared in posh clothes for a photo shoot.
Fox News and other outlets had a field day with her outfit choice, prompting Ocasio-Cortez to reply, “Get used to me slaying lewks.”
