On Sunday, President Donald Trump said that Barack and Michelle Obama have a wall around their house and America needs one too, albeit “slightly larger.”
“President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot Wall around their D.C. mansion/compound,” Trump wrote. “I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version!”

Trump’s tweet came shortly after he met with Sen. Lindsey Graham at the White House on Sunday.
After leaving the meeting, Graham said this about Trump’s wall: “It’s just not about physical barriers. It’s about other things.”
He added: “The wall has become a metaphor for border security. And what we’re talking about is a physical barrier where it makes sense.”
The Obamas did, by the way, add a privacy wall around their Washington DC house in 2017, which is in the same posh neighborhood as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner‘s home.
However, as Washington Post’s Lois Romano noted, that Trump’s claim did not exactly represent the privacy wall, or their home, accurately.
