This morning, President Donald Trump began his weekend like so many others before — with a tweetstorm. In this instance, he touched on issues such as the recently passed budget deal, his decision to allow classified JFK files to be released as scheduled and the stock market.
And he also decided to continue his latest feud with Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL).

As you may recall, over the past few days there has been an ugly back-and-forth between the Florida lawmaker and the White House over Trump’s call to Sgt. La David Johnson’s widow following Johnson’s death in a Niger ambush. Wilson was with Myeshia Johnson when Trump called her last week and overheard the president tell Ms. Johnson that her dead husband had signed up for it.
Following Wilson going public with the call, Trump has hit back at her publicly, claiming she lied about the call and he has proof (though it now appears there is no recording and the content of the call has largely been confirmed by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly). Kelly also took aim at Wilson by falsely claiming she used a 2015 FBI dedication speech to boast about funding she got for the agency, leading to further controversy for the administration.
The timing of Trump’s hate-tweets at Wilson — a family friend of the Johnsons — this morning has already come under question considering Sgt. Johnson’s funeral is today.
