A squirrel broke into a Brockport, New York home to eat some cookies. And then gave police officers more than they could handle.
Borckport Police responded to a report of a break in on Friday. They were told by the residents that a squirrel was in the kitchen, munching on some cookies. The two officers then entered the kitchen and had a close encounter with the small mammal.
The body camera footage shows the squirrel jumping around the kitchen, ultimately using a table as a springboard to leap right at the officers. You can hear one officer yell “whoa” while laughter erupts.
Ultimately, per the police department, the squirrel was captured and released without injury.
