Just when you thought the news was winding down today, The New York Times dropped a rather serious bombshell: the questions Robert Mueller has for President Trump.
There are questions related to areas pertaining to Russian connections and potential obstruction, and Twitter lit up as this report dropped:
Leaks about the Mueller team’s interactions with the Trump legal team seem to have picked up since Rudy joined the crew

This is one heck of a leak. Mueller's list of questions for Trump. https://t.co/sT24GRnryB

People will say it’s Mueller’s office but the more likely culprit is….you know who. https://t.co/Ugz6kAawZF

So, this looks to me like someone on Team Trump has decided to see what the public response is to Trump answering the questions Mueller wants to ask. Or not answering them. Whichever. Point is, I think this came from Team Trump, not Mueller. https://t.co/xEghqUOOZT

I‘m unsure about the wisdom of a media organization releasing the actual questions that a special counsel wants to ask a sitting president. If the media’s role is to pursue truth, might this release jeopardize the search for truth?

Would any defense lawyer advise @realDonaldTrump to meet with SC Mueller? In the absence of any evidence of collusion, why? There is a constitutional objection to the very idea of obstruction in the dismissal of Mr. Comey. No collusion = end of inquiry. https://t.co/XyBCucDpMQ

@nytmike has the scoop on the questions Mueller wants to ask Trump – the existence of which prompted a Twitter rampage by the president around the time they were issued https://t.co/GGg5fhuVDL

The fact that Mueller wants to ask Trump this question shows he knows some very important things that we don’t know about Trump campaign efforts to work with Russia pic.twitter.com/iywUBh4hC9

My most cynical source in DC sent me NYT story on Mueller's questions for Trump with one word: "Wild." Indeed.

This Mueller question really stands out: pic.twitter.com/0Q8QY5lAge

The questions Mueller wants to ask Trump sound like the list of questions every political reporter would like answered.

My head is spinning, but a few initial thoughts …
1. Who leaked this and why?
2. There is no way in hell Trump's lawyers would allow him to answer these under oath.
3. Mueller knows everything.
4. The Rogers, Pompeo and Coats question feels like a BIG deal. https://t.co/oAij4TsxAf— Jamie O'Grady (@JamieOGrady) May 1, 2018
