CNN’s Jim Acosta was brutally heckled by Trump supporters at a rally for the president Tuesday night, with the crowd drowning out his live shot with chants of “fake news” and “CNN sucks.”
After the rally, Acosta — CNN’s chief White House correspondent — took to Twitter to comment on the fury aimed at him during the rally in Tampa, Florida.
“Just a sample of the sad scene we faced at the Trump rally in Tampa,” Acosta wrote, along with a video of the chaos. “I’m very worried that the hostility whipped up by Trump and some in conservative media will result in somebody getting hurt. We should not treat our fellow Americans this way. The press is not the enemy.”

Meanwhile, Eric Trump, the president’s less notable adult son, took to Twitter himself to alert Acosta of the “CNN Sucks” chant, and referred to it as “#Truth”.
President Donald Trump retweeted his adult son’s attack on CNN.
Acosta promptly responded, perhaps wishfully thinking that Eric “knows better.”
No Eric. Not the truth. And you know better. https://t.co/f01GWOE70t
