Fox & Friends Gets Heated After Host Rejects Trump’s Claim Democrats Are to Blame For Death of Migrant Children

Two Fox & Friends Weekend hosts argued over President Donald Trump‘s insane tweet Sunday blaming Democrats for the two migrant children who died in border patrol custody this month.

“Any deaths of children or others at the Border are strictly the fault of the Democrats and their pathetic immigration policies that allow people to make the long trek thinking they can enter our country illegally,” Trump wrote, in a tweet that naturally drew outrage.

On Fox & Friends, host Pete Hegseth lauded Trump for taking the issue “head on” in his tweet blaming Democrats for the deaths of the two children, Jakelin Caal, 7, and Felipe Gómez Alonzo, 8.

“Border Patrol agents didn’t kill these migrant children,” Hegseth said.

Ed Henry, a host prone to bouts of dissent from Hegseth’s impressively blind Trump boosterism, protested: “But neither did the Democrats, by the way.”

“Well, they created policies that incentivize illegal immigration,” Hegseth replied. “Not saying they killed them. But the policies are dumb.”

“Democrats are not to blame for children being killed, let’s be clear,” Henry said.

“I didn’t say that,” Hegseth shot back.

“That’s what the president said,” Henry said.

“Their policies,” Hegseth replied. “It’s different than people.”

“I just think that this president doesn’t need to take the extra step of saying, the kids who died, it’s the Democrats’ fault,” Henry said. “How do you get the Democrats to the table to negotiate when you accuse them of being to blame?”

“By pointing out the failure of their policies,” Hegseth replied.

“Period, end of sentence,” Henry said. “You don’t need to say, kids died because of you.”

Hegseth went on to falsely accuse Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi of believing “open borders are moral.”
