President Trump‘s big Fox & Friends interview last week apparently went over so well he’s thinking about doing it once a month, but Ed Henry said today there may have been one little issue in the President’s remarks.
When Trump spoke about his lawyer Michael Cohen, he said that Cohen only did a “tiny little fraction” of his legal work. (His comments have already been invoked in a court filing.)
Henry, who earlier today said the WHCA owes Sarah Huckabee Sanders an apology over Michelle Wolf, told Howard Kurtz, “Where the President continues to kind of misstep there, I think, is––you know, from a media perspective, I’ve never seen any public figure comment on a legal matter and it go well for them.”
“He pours gasoline on whatever fire might be out there when he comments,” he added.
That being said, he also thinks news outlets like CNN are being unfair in calling the President’s interview “unhinged.”
“The idea of fair and balanced coverage––I’m just laughing,” Henry said.
